Next Step is a nonprofit organization offering free and confidential support to individuals affected by domestic violence, dating abuse, and stalking.

They provide a wide range of services to support recovery and overall well-being, including care for mental health, therapeutic treatment, foster care, cardiovascular health, cancer, respiratory conditions, dementia, injuries, and wound care.

AMHC – A Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC)

AMHC is a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) providing integrated mental health and substance use treatment services that support recovery and improve quality of life. For more than 60 years, AMHC has been committed to serving communities and is now the largest behavioral healthcare provider in the region, with 27 service locations across Aroostook, Hancock, and Washington counties.

Their Care Coordination service employs a person-centered approach, helping individuals navigate the behavioral health system with confidence and support. Care Coordinators connect people to the services they need, making sure no step is overlooked and no one has to face their journey alone.

Whether you’re managing mental health concerns, substance use challenges, or co-occurring conditions, our Care Coordinators work with you to keep treatment organized, efficient, and aligned with your personal goals.

The Maine Warm Line offers free, confidential support for anyone who needs someone to talk to, especially during moments of stress, loneliness, or emotional overwhelm. It’s available to help individuals feel heard, grounded, and connected when things feel difficult. Healthy Acadia

Healthy Acadia is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing community health in Hancock and Washington counties. Through collaboration and shared leadership, we work to address ongoing challenges and respond swiftly to urgent health concerns in our region.

  • Health Equity - to remove obstacles and foster just, equitable, diverse, and inclusive communities to support the well-being of all people, regardless of background or circumstance.
